I truly hope everyone had as great a time as I did. The dark cloudy skies of early Friday afternoon witnessed everyone scrambling to put up more tents and get under cover for what turned out to be only a very scarry moment. Guests began showing up about 4:30. The Artists worked through the evening demonstrating their art techniques as the Missouri Emergency Rescue Service demonstrated their talents of lifting an overturned horse trailer.
PicknLickn began their tunes as the darkness of the night set in and continued well into the late hours of the evening.
Saturday could not have been better. A great treat for me is to see that so many ouf our guests feel so comfortable in sharring our event with their children and pets.
Of course what would an event be without food. A very special thanks goes to Diane Vincent with the MERS Team for "rounding up" a host of treats including sandwiches, fruit, muffins, beverages, and snacks. Thank you to the local Eurkea Merchants - McDonalds, Sav-A-Lot, Shell, Subway, and Wal-Mart and the much appreciated "hot" homemade chili provided by Chef Gary Grosse on Friday.
